The Hermit Park Tigers is a family orientated club which focuses on participation and enjoyment of playing our great game. We provide a quality environment where kids can learn to improve their hand to eye co-ordination plus be part of a team working together with a common goal. We promote fair play and have a code of conduct for all players and parents that fosters having fun and respecting your opponents and team mates. Junior AFL in Townsville is a strictly smoke and alcohol free experience.

Age groups:    

• Under 9s born 2000, 2001, 2002 (must turn 7 this calendar year)
• Under 11s born 1998 or 1999
• Under 13s born 1996 or 1997
• Under 15s born 1994 or 1995
• Under 17s born 1992 or 1993

 Female players will normally be allowed to play up to one year older than their age group however under 15s and under 17s do not normally cater for female players.

In certain circumstances male players one year older than their age group may be granted permission to play.

Costs:

• Under 9s and 11s - $120 (includes club shorts and socks plus insurance.)
• Under 13s, 15s and 17s - $140 (includes club shorts and socks plus insurance and umpiring fees.)
